Review by hotel critic
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Château de la Chapelle, and it was such an enchanting experience that I'll carry with me for years to come. Tucked away in the serene Ardennes, this incredible 13th-century castle boasts a stunning chapel and a picturesque garden - perfect for my love of history and natural beauty. The highlight for me was certainly the breakfast: Irina created a mouthwatering buffet filled with European delights alongside Dutch specialities that had us indulging every morning. Our room, accessed via a charming ancient tower staircase, flooded with natural light and offered breathtaking views of the gardens and pool - absolutely inspiring for my photography! With amenities like an outdoor swimming pool, jacuzzi, and a lovely lounge area, there's plenty to keep you occupied, perhaps with a good book from the library. And while I didn't get to explore the wine cellar this time, I can't wait for a return visit to enjoy some tastings with my fiancée, who shares my adventures and love for good wine. If you're looking for a peaceful retreat with a touch of history and a welcoming family atmosphere, I wholeheartedly recommend Château de la Chapelle. You won't regret it!
